Meet Our Dogs

Every Harpers Ferry Doodle starts with a healthy, well-loved parent. Our dogs live in our home as family pets first and foremost — and they're the foundation of the thoughtfully raised F1B (and future F1) Bernedoodles we're known for.

A program built on family: Queenie and Honey are daughters of our foundation dam Bindi. Bred to Jacob, their litters are F1B Bernedoodles— a curlier-coated, lower-shedding take on the Bernedoodles we've loved raising for years.

Generations explained

F1 vs. F1B Bernedoodles

Both make wonderful family companions — the difference is in the mix, which shapes coat type and shedding. Toggle below to see how the blend changes.

F1 Bernedoodle: 50% Poodle, 50% Bernese Mountain Dog. Typical adult weight 60–80 lbs. The classic 50/50 first cross — a typically wavy coat and hybrid vigor.

Coat type and adult size vary from puppy to puppy — even within a litter. These are typical ranges, not guarantees.

Our F1B litters come from our F1 Bernedoodle dams Queenie & Honey paired with our Parti Poodle stud Jacob — with our first litter expected in early 2027. Down the road we plan to bring F1 Bernedoodles back alongside a future Bernese Mountain Dog dam.

Honored & Retired

The dogs who helped start it all — our foundation dam Bindi, now happily retired as our family pet, and Cooper, the sire behind our early F1 Bernedoodle litters.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an F1B Bernedoodle?

An F1B Bernedoodle is an F1 Bernedoodle (Bernese Mountain Dog × Poodle) crossed back to a Poodle. Ours come from our F1 Bernedoodle dams, Queenie and Honey, paired with our Parti Poodle stud, Jacob. The higher Poodle percentage usually means a curlier, lower-shedding, more allergy-friendly coat.

Are F1B Bernedoodles hypoallergenic?

No dog is completely hypoallergenic, but F1B Bernedoodles are often a great fit for families with mild allergies because their higher Poodle content typically means less shedding and dander.

When is your next litter?

Our first F1B Bernedoodle litter (Queenie × Jacob) is expected in early 2027. You can reserve your spot or join the waitlist on our Good Dog profile.

Will you breed F1 Bernedoodles again?

Yes. We plan to welcome a Bernese Mountain Dog female to pair with Jacob, which will let us produce F1 Bernedoodles once more alongside our F1B litters.

Where are you located?

We are a family breeder in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, serving the DC Metro area, Northern Virginia, the Eastern Panhandle of WV, and nearby Maryland.
